Mattock Rangers G4M&O Team hosted a spectacular fundraising event on Saturday, 21st of October 2023, in Aid of The Ardee Hospice.

St.Fechins, Naomh Martin, Newtown Blues, Huntertown Rovers and St.Kevin’s joined Mattock on the day and played some great football in the spirit of G4M&O.
There was great teamwork and skills on display. The sun even made an appearance for a while after all the rain.

Mattock G4M&O Team wish to extend their deep appreciation to each team for their support of the fundraising event.

Two fundraising raffles were held on the day.

A signed Kerry jersey from David and Paudie Clifford was the top prize in the online draw and drew much attention. The two Kerry players said they were delighted to support such a worthy charity - Ardee Hospice Homecare

The day would not have happened without a team of helpers that included the G4M&O Team, our young whistlers Darcey Delvin, Niamh Callaghan and Amy Devine, referee’s Adrian Reid and Steven Smith.

A number of the girls from the U15 team also helped on the day selling raffle tickets.

The day had an energetic launch with Stephen Smith leading the teams in a high powered warm up including a Whigfield ‘Saturday Night ‘number.

The Drogheda Red Cross branch were on hand to provide First Aid, which thankfully was not required on the day but gave us much peace of mind on the day.

Refreshments were enjoyed in the clubhouse after the matches’ .Thank you to all who donated the much welcomed treats and to all who helped out on the day.

The whole day was captured by our local eagle-eyed photographer, Mr. Peter Tormey.
Thank you Peter for the fantastic photos of the great day.

Finally, heartfelt thank you to all our family, friends and club members who supported the raffles- Thank you for your amazing generosity.

A fantastic total of €4,749.50 was raised for the Ardee Hospice Homecare.
