Healthy Clubs Officer Jennie Smith with committee member Denise Fay attended the Healthy Clubs Orientation Day today at Croke Park.
Mattock Rangers is one of 600 clubs across the country who were lucky to be selected as participants in the Irish Life Healthy Club Programme. Clubs have 18 months to complete the Healthy Club criteria and subsequently achieve Foundation, Silver, or Gold Healthy Club status.
A great morning was had learning more about how Mattock Rangers can embed a healthy philosophy within the club and make Mattock Rangers a centre for health and wellbeing within the community of Collon.
There was an extra bonus at the end of the day when Jennie and Denise had a chance to meet and wish the new GAA President Jarlath Burns the best of luck in his new role.
The Healthy Club Team will share more information about the programme over the coming weeks and is looking forward to launching the programme within the club in May. If anyone would like to join the committee, then get in touch with Jennie.
