The Fashion Show 2013

by admin on May 3, 2013

On Saturday 28th April the village of Collon came alive when over 400 people descended on the Mattock Rangers Club rooms to attend a fashion show organised by Ann Meade and a large group of people from all sections of the club and the neighbouring clubs of Glen Emmets and Hunterstown Rovers.

The night began at 7.30pm with a champagne reception and by 8.15pm, the two comperes for the night, Gerry Kelly from LMFM and Fiona O’Connell, Director of Drogheda Panto, were ready for the off.

There were over 120 models from the ages of 4 to 60ish!! Well done to all the models, fantastic commitment and effort from you all. It was a fantastic community evening with young and old enjoying the night. A very special guest, The Queen, arriving on the night a big thanks to her and her body guards, Paddy Watters and Martin McGuinness.

Thanks to our main sponsor on the night, Little Munchkins Creche (see image below), managed by Maura Englishby, some of the children and teachers from the creche even took to the cat walk to model clothes for Stepping Stones, Ardee and Rouge, Clogherhead.

To all our sponsors namely: Mathews Agri, Oriel Flues, Collon Credit Union, Collon Pharmacy, Paddy Watters Auctioneers, JH Groundworks, North East Space, Identity Hair Salon, Dunnes Drilling Services, Mathews Bar, Watters Bar, Ronan Crosby Butchers, My GAA Gear, Park One Racing and Spec Savers, without you we would not be able to continue to provide the facilities to the children, teenagers and adults of our parish.

A massive thanks to the following people who helped make our fashion show a great night:

The Shops: Just in, O’Neills Menswear, Stepping Stones, Sharkey Sports & The fashion Atelier, all Ardee. Rouge Ladies wear, Clogherhead. Next, New Look, Vero Moda, Shaws, Edel Tuite Bridal Designs, McKenna Man, & Sportsworld all Drogheda.
